People wag their finger: the pastor, the friend, the recovery-speaker, the theologians, preachers, commentaries….

What if being a SUBMISSIVE wife requires being a CONTENTIOUS wife?

Goodness gracious I wish the putrid laundry would jump in the washer and get himself cleaned up. The STENCH around here was SO UNBEARABLE I couldn’t stand anymore, I had no choice but to air it. Would leaving him in a dirty laundry heap to rot and fester with maggots be loving and biblical? I think not!

What I learned in Sunday School yesterday: The pastor was in 2 Timothy. My husband can kneel down and THANK THE LORD that he is just dirty laundry on an insignificant blog and not Phygelus and Hermogenes, or Alexander- immortalized forever for their deeds in words read by billions. Fancy that- Paul isn’t afraid to name names and state the deeds. John isn’t either.

The accusation of “controlling” is used to shut up a wife when she sees and then confronts any of the seven deadly sins: Pride., Envy, Wrath, Gluttony and Lust, Sloth and Greed. If a husband won’t receive influence from his wife, he will wind up divorced. see “What about “God Hates Divorce”?
oh the ‘controlling’ label, or what they usually refer to as Jezebel,
isn’t it amazing though, its always by those, who are PROJECTING,
their own image?

when men use that ‘oh she’s controlling’ or Jezebel, that is translated as:
‘how dare you question my control, authority, entitlement, super-male supremacy?’ Why, I am like ‘god’ don’t you know?
Why I refuse to call it marriage ministry anymore–more like,
the perpetuation of DOMESTIC TYRANNY.
so many little Lord Stalin’s out there–its amazing, how so many, men in homes, are so much like
Stalin.
I would know–studied Stalin–he beat all his wives too, all three of them, one who was driven to suicide,

if you live with a Stalin, a little word of advice,
to sooth his tyrannic episodes. Write him poetry [that is what many did, were commanded to do, for Stalin, you see all Cults of Personality work the same],
just write him poetry telling him what a great savior he is, a great father to the mother land, a great leader, etc., etc., and how much he’s adored,
and make sure you send it with red–either roses
or blood.
[ok, well, a tad crass but oh well--its true, the Stalin's of the world, love the whole thing with blood--why they are prone to beat women and/ rape them]
but seriously–Stalin loved poetry, praise, parades, so did Hitler,
and you will know if you are joined with a Stalin because they get that little smirk-smile,
when they are praised. Clenched fist of course, but always with that smile…

sorry, about the what may seem as negative, but you see,
that is what happens when you get a former commie turned Christian,
they have so much experience with totalitarianism and fascism, and so you see, we can smell it and see it a mile away,
and why, communism and Christianity as far as the ‘religion’ goes, [not true Christianity]
are IDENTICAL,
especially where, the men are concerned.
Same goes for Islam–Iran, for example–
totalitarianism is all the same, no matter how you dress it, the one thing, they all have in common,
is a sheer hate and obsession with controlling, abusing, raping, women and children,
keeping them under their thumb and the complete demand, for ABSOLUTE WORSHIP AND ADORATION,
no questions allowed, no freedom, no love, no joy.
Just, SUBMISSION,
its amazing, how similar, they truly are. Why, no wonder, I could agree with communism for so long–it wasn’t that much different than the Taliban Christian environment I grew up in [area-region],
just, a few differences in ideology, but the fear, intimidation, and the guilt–Jezebel or Class Enemy–
same ole same ole. Especially where women are concerned [In Islam, its just, women are Hell, or a field to be tilthed]
The difficult thing is, finding the True God, and the only way I have found to do that,
is to read the Whole Bible, not just, the scriptures that the ‘institutions of authority’ have used to beat over our heads, to force via violence or duress or brainwashing, tick tock orange, LOL,
SUBMISSION.’

When you turn around and decide you won’t be controlled by the spirit of Jezebel in YOUR HUSBAND, he gets miffed and starts calling you controlling. Because you no longer want to be contolled by a controlling man, now you are accused of being controlling.
And here comes brother nonconformer who hasn’t a clue, coming along side your controlling husband, agreeing with your controlling husband and pointing a finger at you in accusation, declaring that YOU are controlling.

If a man does it, it is not controlling or the spirit of Jezabel. But if a woman resists control and the spirit of Jezabel in a man, then SHE is controlling.
Yikes.
No wonder women are leaving the church in droves.
It’s controlled by controlling men who are in deniel about their control issues but rather project their control issue onto the woman and call them controlling and Jezebels when they don’t want to be controlled anymore.
The ONLY control that the Bible says is acceptable is SELF-CONTROL. And precious few men make that a priority.

I visited your site briefly, and come back to tell Mara her fears are well founded. Yep. You are one more of those misogynistic, I AM THE BOSS-KING males that seek to crush women and like to spread falsehood about them to further give males greater control over them.
I am assuming English is not your first language. Do yourself a favor, and instead of being so long-winded, post shorter, concise rants, rather than the long, impossible to follow ramblings that you write. I tried to get through your control freak post, all along thinking “pot-kettle-black”.

I’m so sick of BOSS-KING, woman-crushing males I could puke.
I’m SOOOO glad that Jesus doesn’t have the BOSS-KING attitude toward us when He deals with us.
He so knows that it is His KINDNESS that brings us to repentence. It is His GOODNESS and MERCY towards us that brings us to our knees in awe and utter shock.
Women followed Jesus on this earth because they never, ever, EVER met a man like Him.
I thank God for the stories we have about the way Jesus treated the woman at the well, Mary who sat at his feet to learn, and the woman caught in adultery. I especially like the story of the woman who poured purfume on His feet. When the men began to grumble against her, Jesus told the men to stop troubling her.
That is God’s message to men concerning women. Stop troubling us. If only they were humble enough to have ears to hear what Jesus is saying. But no, they are far more concerned with being BOSS-KINGS to give a flying flip about what Jesus says. If Jesus doesn’t say they are the BOSS-KINGS then they don’t want to hear it. They’ll go flip a few pages over and take Paul’s words, twist them, and make them say what they want, which, of course, it that they are the BOSS-KINGS.
May God have mercy on their wretched, self-serving souls.

Sort of off subject,
but I find the typical slam against women, calling them Jezebel, a tad ironic,
I wonder if any of the ones who scream Jezebel even have READ the Old Testament, because what the characteristics of Jezebel are, is day and night difference, in other words,
Jezebel, was a daughter of a king who worshiped Ba’el for one, and two, she had those killed who were not only prophets but she had a man killed for a vineyard even.
She was far more than just a ‘controlling’ or an ‘assertive’ woman, and the label slam/accusation against women, who are not door mats, of being Jezebel,
is ridiculous. Jezebel was a follower of anti-God, anti-Christ, from what I’ve thus gathered, Jesus refers to her in Revelations, about seducing saints or followers into fornication, I would assume that means, spiritual fornication. [or literal]
Not even about the same thing, as far as women being assertive, so, my point is, the using the ‘label’ Jezebel, is just so OVERUSED and not even REMOTELY even CLOSE, to who Jezebel is,
its like calling every man who is mean, SAUL.
And could you imagine, if there were sermons and labels and pamphlets and ministries always saying,
“OH, THAT MAN, IS A ‘SAUL’” ‘DON’T BE A SAUL’, OH, REPENT FROM FOLLOWING THAT SAUL’
when I hear Jezebel now, it says to me, two things, well, no, three
1. those who use the label against women, have obviously missed over half of New Testament about Love one another, kindness, gentleness, do not insist on own way, UNITY, strive to be of one mind, one spirit, in Christ, in Love, LOVE,
2. an obvious not well read in the Bible, because they don’t even know who Jezebel is [or the history of the kings then and the Ba' el' worship and all the rest that goes with it and Jezebel, btw, wasn't the only EVIL woman in the Old Testament, hardly, there was a few other queens mentioned too, as well as NUMEROUS KINGS, MEN, FALSE PROPHETS, ETC, God is no respecter of persons,
and last but not least,
3. Jesus, in Revelations, speaks of giving the Jezebel time to 'repent',
hmmmmm.....from her adultery's, and ADULTERY, God doesn't hold no double standard there,
it says, really blunt, adulterer's, [that includes men and women who lust after porn, IN THE HEART], fornicators, Covetous, [coveting things], idolaters, malice, haters, strikers [and look up strikers, it means, those who hit with fists, hit, THAT INCLUDES PEOPLE WHO SLAP SPOUSES AND KIDS], and so forth,
WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD…those who practice those things.
So, I think, I’d be, worried, far more, about my own spiritual walk with God, Jesus, than throwing around,
Jezebel labels, against women, who dare to not be doormats or abused. Its just so overused, and its become nothing more than a deragatory (sic) remark, that is yes, misogynist, and is a weapon,
to not only control, but to commit word-violence, and our words, are to be gentle and kind, are they not?
And is sure isn’t striving for unity in the Body of Christ,
I think, what we have in these last days, is a real pharisee mentality, taking over, or trying too, among the Gentiles…like, using the New Testament, the way the Old Testament was used, to
justify the discriminatory treatment, of the
Samaritans.
Now, what was it, that Jesus said, about Love and the Samaritans?
hmmmmmm…..so, the next time, we hear the Jezebel label [not in reference to the Bible use of],
maybe we should also, think of Saul, and also, of the Samaritan…
oh, btw, ever wonder, how Paul, his name once was Saul too.?
